"Loved reading this book! The short stories just flow... Most stories in this book have sad endings. According to the translator, the stories in this collection were written in different decades starting from 1960's. Through these stories, I was introduced to Goan culture, their thought process, women's struggles, and every day lives of people. I was especially curious about the last story "A Writer's Tale". Initially, I wondered why the author was writing about such an experience...but it becomes clear at the end. I also like how each story ends. They make you think A LOT. I'm so glad I picked this book! The translator has done a great job!"
